Had knee replacement surgery on June 12, 2017. I had the best experience I could ever have had while a patient at this facility. My surgeon, nursing staff, lab staff, food and all facilities were top notch. All the rooms in the joint replacement center were private and beautifully appointed. You were able to place your food order on the phone from an extensive menu No eating dinner at 4pm and breakfast at 7 You decided what time you wanted to eat.
I had my first child here. Not only did I like being here so did my guest. The nurses are very nice. Unfortunately my son had to stay in the Nicu for a few days. There where some nurse that where nice in some that where just doing to much. Like this one nurse told my child's father he could only bring one person at a time to see our son, but that was a lie because the paper that explains the rules says you can have up to four people at a time if your child has there own room witch my son did have. The same nurse was watching us wayyyyy to close she told me not to rub my sons hand. Witch was uncalled for I just gave birth to my son and your telling me I can't rub his hand witch was the only contact I could have with him at that time. Thank god my son wasn't there long. Over all a lovely hospital.
My review is strictly related to a recent ER intake experience. I should have called an ambulance to facilitate our intake as the desk showed no concern or urgency in dealing with any of us and slowly worked through the queue single finger keyboard typing. After the patient i was accompanying passed out in a wheelchair and i yelled for help, they actually gave us some attention. The triage nurse then made sure I overheard him describe my concern as "freaking out" to someone on the phone. Perhaps he sees this type of stuff everyday, but when I bring in a loved one to the hospital I expect the staff to act professionally and show some compassion and concern.
My mother (age over 80) had a significant, delicate surgery on an outpatient basis this past week at Princeton Medical Center's main hospital. (That's the big building with all the glass and the little lake with fountains in front, on the Plainsboro Road side.) Her entire experience was excellent from start to finish. She found the surgical care unit to be very fully staffed, more staff than you'd expect, and the pre-op and post-op staff also were plentiful, readily available and extremely caring and friendly. I was on site both before and after and can say I've never seen a hospital so well-staffed (great staff-to-patient ratio), which meant the nurses and techs weren't in a constant hurry. The building itself is new and beautiful, very airy, lots of light, cheerful. My mom had no wait at all, was processed for admission immediately, and the surgery finished ahead of schedule and without a hitch. As the driver, I can also say that parking was VERY easy. I came and went four times during the ten-hour period my mom was in the hospital, and each time I found a parking space right across from the entrance. There really are no bad parking spots for the big hospital; even the farthest aren't far from the entrance. Because she had read several negative Yelp reviews of the medical center, my mother was kind of nervous about what she might experience, and to her delight she found everything to be about as perfect as a surgery and hospital stay could be. And as her escort, I totally agree. The staff there & the entire experience couldn't have been more pleasant.
My wife has had two hip replacements here and both experiences have been superb. The most recent surgery was only a couple of weeks ago. When we arrived to the excellently decorated, pristine facility, we were immediately sent to her comfortable, private room and tended to by a caring staff. The attention she received throughout her stay was simply awesome. The OR Staff even sent her a "Get Well" card several days later (yes it's true). And to top it all off, they gave me a Guess Pass to their on-site, 50,000 Square Foot Fitness Facility. Superb!! And highly recommended.
